Sorry AGAIN for the late update, but at least here are 6 new pages. We’re not currently living in the same house due to a renovation situation and that doesn’t exactly make the whole collaboration process easier, but we’re doing our best to still crank out an update now and then despite this. Thanks for your patience!

the intense hatred for dores is getting a little difficult to believe. why does her family treat her this way?

Sorry you feel that way. There are some reasons that we have hinted at, but the story is more about how the main characters react to and are affected by what happens to them and less about why it happens. We are however planning on making a collection of short comics after WBK that goes more in-depth with some of the more peripheral characters, showing how they became who they are in WBK, and Dores’ parents will be among them, but there won’t be much more said about their reasons in this particular comic.
Truth is often stranger than fiction, too; there are definitely kids out there being treated a lot worse than Dores for no particular reason, so we don’t find her story too hard to believe. Sometimes there’s just no good answer. (We, however, have an answer regarding our characters since we made them up, but yeah… in another comic.)
