There’s nothing like the cruelty of children. :(

  2. Novemberdied says:

    Ian to the rescue!

(Really loving this! Keep up the good work ^^)

  3. FribergThorelli says:

Novemberdied: That’s Dores… <:) But thank you for the nice words. ^^

  4. elStyggelse says:

Poor, super-lonely Elia in the first wide-pan box :(
Wanna see where this is going
    Action-Dores, do your thing!

  5. Savannah says:

    Poor Elia :(

  6. Crotius says:

I read these Elia panels, and it’s this time of year, and I think about my daughter… the fact i am not with her. Life, it is not simple, and it is full of hardship and bad decisions.

  7. Khezef says:

I haven’t read this since the spring. It was nice to catch up! Keep up the lovely work.

  8. Meggs says:

I just started reading your comic a few days ago (read through all pages in on go!) and I must say, it’s brilliant! The story, characters, art- all of it is really to my liking. And such fast uploading of new pages too! Last time I read the comic was a few days ago, and between then and now you’ve put up three new pages. I say again, brilliant!

  9. katherine says:

Oh my. This is getting realy intense. That was an unexpected twist. -New and impressed reader.

  10. Ahh… Nothing like a walk down memory lane and remembering the good times when your friend disintegrates to ash l3

  11. Henriked says:

Yeah, go Dores!!! Poor Elia, kids can be so cruel….her face in the first panel is heartbreaking… :(

  12. Seanan says:

    Go get ‘em, Dores!

  13. Novemberdied says:

Ooops =/ She does look kinda similar with short hair though!
And you can have all the nice words you like, you bloody well deserve them!

  14. worldsmithroy says:

Just discovered your comic, and bookmarked it (wish I could tell you how I reached it, might be through the Meek).

You tell a story with the patience of the masters. I couldn’t put it down this morning until I’d finished.

  15. Arkturium says:

This is just absolutely amazing. I started reading this only this morning and I did not stop until I got to here.
They just seem like such real people, you have done such a brilliant job; good work to the both of you.

  16. michelle4jerusalem says:

wow…was away for two weeks and i can’t believe elia just melted away…i don’t think she is coming back. i think she’s part of the strange people-of-the-woods now. i wonder if dores will *still* want to take the remaining “gold eggs” back to town now. hopefully she’s smarter than that at this point. scary beyond what i imagined was going to happen here, surprising and supernatural. i’m glad all the new people showed up here, makes me want to go check out the meek!

  17. kschenke says:

Aw, I just want to know Elia is ok in the PRESENT. :(

  18. soraoathkeeper says:

Sure that’s Dores? There’s no beauty mark by her eye it seems, although it’s a little hard to tell.

  19. FribergThorelli says:

We promise, it’s Dores. ;) She’s only four years old in this flashback, and she didn’t get her beauty mark until a couple of years later.

It is consistent with how she looked in in her flashback here (age four) and here (age six). :)

  20. Miw says:

    Kids can be dicks :(

  21. soraoathkeeper says:

Oh I’m sorry, I thought it was all speculation.

And yeah I looked back and it’s Dores. My bad! XPP
