created by Emelie Friberg & Mattias Thorelli. It's intended to be read in printed form, but for now you can read it online for free.
Warning: The comic contains mature themes and therefore it is not suitable for people under the age of 14.
Hey, one of the funny things about the medium of the comic strip. I took it to be a photograph, even thought I suppose that isn’t within the technology of the era.
That’s so sad that her mother painted this, but couldn’t show appreciation for her own talent. I wonder what happened to make her stop painting.
@Kshenke- I agree. But it’s also funny the negative things others can see in one’s children, that the parent never notices. (I.E. Bad teeth that need braces, so on so forth)
@Aviatrix – don’t you mean “daughter” in your second paragraph? If not, I don’t understand your comment at all. :S Obviously Dores painted this portrait.
However, I also wonder what made the mother stop painting. Maybe that has something to do with why she’s so ignorant/negative about Dores’ artistic skills – maybe she’s bitter that her own artistic “career” never got anywhere?
… a year and a half later … Jens, yes I did mean daughter. I reread my own comment and wondered what on earth I was talking about. Thanks for interpreting.

Haha. She has no idea.
Hm… Maybe this can be a medium for Dores and her mother to stop bickering and squabbling.
Isn’t funny how others can so easily see in your children what you just cannot?

To be honest, all I could react like here is sort of.. “ABOUT FLIPPING TIME!” I’ve really come to hate her mother.
