What Birds Know
is a graphic novel in progress,
created by Emelie Friberg & Mattias Thorelli. It's intended to be read in printed form, but for now you can read it online for free.
Warning: The comic contains mature themes and therefore it is not suitable for people under the age of 14.
Funny, if they were real gold I think they would dent, not bounce that much. Then again, we already know that there’s something strange about those eggs….
She might as well throw away all those eggs, because there’s no telling what might happen if she brought them back. Even if the gold itself isn’t cursed, people wouldn’t leave her alone until they found out where she found the eggs. Sooo creepy.
@wandering-dreamer: You shouldn’t read to much into that. To be honest, I’ve no idea what would happen if you threw a golden egg into a stone floor with all your might. I just drew what seemed reasonable to me. Maybe I did it wrong! ^^;; To my defense, they’re not bouncing very high at least.
Although, these eggs are not heavy enough to be solid gold. The girls mentioned it briefly on page 247.
Actually, there is no way those are real gold, or at least not solid gold. You wouldn’t be able to lift a lump that big. The way the girls have been lifting them one-handed, holding them with no effort etc. makes it clear the eggs are not real (solid) gold. Which just makes the whole thing even more heart-breaking. (although, even if it’s just golden egg-shells with water or air inside, they’d still be really valuable. And might even survive being thrown like that, depending on thickness.)

Poor Vandi! I wonder what will happen next!

I’ve got it — it’s a gold-and-rubber alloy! :V
Back more on the topic of the comic itself: GOSH DANG I hate webcomics sometimes. D: Nearly every page is a cliffhanger! :(

Aaand I saw you mention it. Please ignore my comment.
