I think that should be “we three sisters”. (I had a very assertive English teacher.)
Ah, thanks. Us were unsure about that one. ;) I think I see the logic now that you mention it. Is it the “had” that makes it we instead of us? “We had” is of course a lot better than “us had”. ^^;
We’ll fix that!

It’s the fact that the pronoun is the subject of the sentence. So in a way, it is the “had,” but it would be the same if you substituted any other verb and the three sisters were the ones “doing” the verb.
