Yes, I really melted! Honest!
Summer hit us like a sledgehammer and I fled to a corner of the swedish countryside where internet connections are dependent on how far out of the window you stick your laptop. True to our habits the conveying of this fact left something to be desired… Sorry about that, readers. We’ll try to shape up! But at least work has not been at a complete standstill, so updates should resume soonish!

you are forgiven! thanks for letting us know what’s up…keep kickin’ it if you’re having a good time!
Long time reader and first time to post.
I live the DFW area of Texas. It’s currently over 100 degrees Farenheit or 38 Celcius for ya. So if you were sitting around in temperature equal to that I sympathize. If not… well some just don’t like the heat I suppose.
I’m just glad everything’s alright! It was weird, suddenly it just went quiet.
HA! I knew it.
OutCold, i live in israel and i moved here from tucson, arizona. i love the heat, it’s an amazing energy source and as long as it’s a dry heat, i can’t get enough. definitely agree that most people can’t take the heat, but as far as updates go, many webcomics go on hiatus in the summer – i’m grateful that they’ve been updating what birds know regularly, more regularly than usual, for a good long while now. i think a short break can be good for webcomic creators. start afresh, full of energy, reinvigorated, and with a new idea or two. we’ve followed this story long enough to want it to have a great ending, right?
Oh you are correct spas, when you find something this good you just can’t wait to see how it ends. I’ll be a patient fan and await the update.
As for the heat… I really want to move to Colorado in the near future. I love the snow and mountains :)
mmm..out cold you make me think of mexican hot chocolate and a ski lodge with a log fire. maybe i will visit my friends in colorado this december when i come stateside. they complain and i have never been there.
